Tallgeese Femme by EchoWing Tallgeese Femme by EchoWing
During the course of my Gundam storyline, Earth became a major ally to the Extaxian Kingdom, and the Extaxians saw the usefulness of mobile suits. They began developing some of their own, intially based on Earth designs and later doing their own concepts. This is their prototype, the Tallgeese Femme (inspired by the Tallgeese).

Mostly intended as a ceremonial suit, the Tallgeese Femme was nonetheless designed to defend itself, armed with a twin dobergun on the right arm, a heat rod on the left, Vulcan guns in the head, a beam staff, and a deployable back-mounted beam cannon. Also built into it was an E-Telecomm system, designed to make use of the telepathic abilities found in many Extaxians (1 in 200, Alex included). Alex flew it first into battle, followed by the then-current Extaxian Queen, Selene Vonamor, and then Alex's future aide and confidante Adrienne Pleiades, who died towards the end of the storyline.

Art by , based on a design by Hajime Katoki (I think) and with suggested modifications by me. Some concepts from this would eventually make it into another Gundam I came up with for the series, called the Gundam Wildfire. Unfortunately, that one currently lacks any artwork.

Wow, the detail in this drawing is impressive.  I like the 1-2 guideline of movement on the right.

I knew historical we referred to tanks as "male" or "female" but this is just ridiculous.

Yeah, it was kinda a phase with me, having female-looking mecha in my stories. It had in-story justification, weak as it was, and I've gotten past it.

Yeah, the two Gundam-styled mechs (plus the three of Alex) are five drawings out of six that were done for me by request years ago. Unfortunately, neither I nor he saved a digital copy, so it isn't up here on DA. I wish it was, though...

One stupid question: why "femme"? it sond...funky!

The suit's meant to be a feminine version of the Tallgeese, and my mid-teenaged mind figured that "Femme" sounded pretty cool as a descriptor.

A lovely piece of work you got there. BTW how's the beam staff work?

My thinking was that it'd be similar to a double-ended beam saber in use, though less destructive.

Thanks for the fave, by the way.

I really like the combination of technology from the one year war, being the heat rod..but then the vulcans which were generally a Federation faithful..And Of course the design is really sound. You know your stuff :D. I know it well enough to appreciate but I sitll haven't gotten into the building enough to comment on the elements individually.
