Getting back to the writing however...
Yesterday I received an anonymous review for 'Valor and Venom', the latest of these guys to be completed and posted. Readers know that I introduced Torchwood, a paramilitary X-File agency of the British government from the "Doctor Who" universe, in that chapter.
I want to establish a few things right off the bat. I have yet to see any episodes of the Torchwood TV series, having been exposed to it only through the Doctor Who relaunch and through Wikipedia. I hope to rectify that over the summer however - I should have plenty of time to get a hold of the show's first season (maybe the second depending on when it's released). I included it because it seemed like a fun idea.
At the same time however, I do not intend to establish that the history of the Institute within the Whoniverse is exactly the same as that of T:A-R's universe. My thinking is that similar events did occur to those seen, just not identical - involvement of a certain Time Lord or any of his Companions (or the relatives to said Companions) isn't necessarily the case.
I'll be digging into it more in the next installment, "Question Authority". Right now, however, I don't have firm plans for the appearances of the Doctor, Captain Jack Harkness, or anyone else from the Whoniverse...beyond Yvonne Hartman. But vague ideas are coursing about in my skull...
Devious Comments
Although it'd be kinda interesting on seeing the TFs' reactions to the Daleks, the Daleks being cyborgs of sorts...

As for Scorponok...the version that appeared way back at the end of "Foundation" heading for Nebulos was indeed the Energon version, and I've confirmed that his Cybertron version was the one who attacked the Axalon's crew in "Original Sins". Just how he got to that state will be explained in an upcoming story.
Glad that you're anticipating future installments - here's hoping I can get the finished version of "Combine and Conquer" up soon.
